What to Expect on Your Tungnath Trek Package
Day 1: Arrival at Chopta | The Base Camp
Chopta, also known as the "Mini Switzerland of India," is where your trekking adventure begins.
If you're opting for the Tungnath trek from Delhi package, your journey will start a day earlier, with transport and accommodation provided en route.
On reaching Chopta, you'll settle into a scenic campsite, surrounded by meadows and snow-capped mountains. The evening is free for you to explore Chopta’s natural beauty or relax at the camp.
Enjoy a bonfire and dinner under the stars to prepare for the next day’s trek.
Day 2: Trek from Chopta to Tungnath Temple | 3,680 m
After breakfast, the real adventure begins! The Chopta to Tungnath trek distance is about 4 kilometres, but don’t let the Chopta to Tungnath trek distance fool you. The path ascends steeply, taking you through enchanting rhododendron forests and alpine meadows.
The trail offers panoramic views of the Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, and Kedarnath ranges, making it a visual treat for nature lovers.
After approximately 3-4 hours of trekking, you’ll reach the Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world.
Spend time soaking in the spiritual aura and exploring the temple, before trekking back to Chopta or staying overnight at a ne
