Airtel DLT Charges 2026 | Registration Fees, Renewal Cost & GST Breakdown

Airtel’s DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) platform is mandatory for businesses that want to send compliant SMS campaigns (promotional or transactional) on the Airtel SMS network as per TRAI’s regulations. All companies must register on the Airtel DLT portal to avoid message blocking and ensure high delivery success.

📌 Registration Fees (2026)

Principal Entity (PE): ₹5,000 (excl. GST) + 18% GST = ₹5,900 total

Telemarketer (TM): ₹5,000 + 18% GST = ₹5,900 total

Header/Sender ID Registration: Free (unlimited) – must be renewed annually

Content Template Approval: Free (unlimited) – no renewal needed

The entity registration fee is valid for 1 year and must be renewed each year to keep SMS sending active on the Airtel DLT platform.

🔄 Renewal Costs

Entity Renewal (PE/TM): Same as initial registration — approximately ₹5,900 (including GST) annually

Header Renewal: Charged annually but typically free under current pricing

Templates: Do not require annual renewal

💡 GST & Costs Summary

All Airtel DLT portal charges attract 18% GST, which is added on top of the base fees. Businesses registered for GST may be eligible to claim input tax credit (ITC) on these charges.

🧾 Notes & Tips

DLT registration fees are non-refundable, even if templates are rejected or entities are closed.

These charges are strictly for compliance and registration only—SMS delivery charges (per SMS segment) are separate and depend on your SMS service or gateway provider.
