Madina Munawarrah “the progressive city” position as the 2nd most holy place in Islam after Makkah. It is the city that gave secure haven to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the early Muslims upon their relocation from city Makkah. The city of Madina was firstly well-known as Yasrab. Throughout the war between Romans and Jews in the third century CE, many Jews fled Jerusalem and migrated to their inherited site of Yasrib which is present Madina. A group of people survived and by the time the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had migrated there was a huge Jewish occurrence around the city.
